Coca-Cola drops a limited-edition flavour with artist Marshmello

With the return of festivals this summer, Coca-Cola had the idea of offering a new limited edition soda flavour in collaboration with Marshmello, one of the most trendy DJ. It’s the brand’s first-ever beverage co-created with an artist.

Everything seems to be going well for the American composer these days. After winning the Grammy Award for best electronic music album last month, Marshmello now has a Coca-Cola can to his name. For this collaboration with the soda brand, the DJ had the opportunity to submit new flavours and thus offers a drink with strawberry and watermelon flavours in a completely revamped white packaging. A zero-sugar version also will be available.

An unexpected marketing coup that marks a new and third drink in the Coca-Cola Creations range, which debuted in February and already includes the space-flavoured Coke Starlight and the pixel-flavoured Coke Byte. The flavours are surprising, and lend the brand to new expressions driven by collaboration, creativity and cultural connections.

Over the course of 2022 and beyond, limited-edition flavors, designs and experiences will reimagine Coca-Cola and Coca-Cola Zero Sugar across physical and digital worlds. The American company took the opportunity to announce that other limited edition flavours are also expected to be released during the year.

The Coca-Cola x Marshmello soda has been officially released worldwide on July.

This operation reminds us a lot of the latest collaboration between Coca-Cola and Jack Daniel’s, who unveiled an official co-branded whisky and coke.
